Gary Hodges
Gary Hodges was born in Surrey, England in 1954. Since childhood his love of nature led him to observe and photograph wildlife. For over twenty years he has been applying this interest and knowledge to his pencil drawings. Two elements in particular make Gary’s drawings outstanding – his minute attention to detail and his uncanny knack of capturing the bond between parent and offspring. These combine to ensure a premium on the value of his originals and ensure that his Limited Edition prints are heavily over subscribed and much sought after.
Gary is an enthusiastic supporter of conservation and environmental issues. His concern is reflected by the many organisations that have used his work to raise funds, including the Environmental Investigation Agency, the Born Free Foundation, Greenpeace and Zoocheck.
He has exhibited in several countries including the UK, France, Venezuela, Kenya and Tanzania. A spectacularly successful solo exhibition at the Mall Galleries in London resulted in all available originals being sold, over 900 prints sold and over £90,000 raised for wildlife charities.
