To find fresh inspiration Ilana travels extensively, from Singapore to Mexico and, naturally, the Mediterranean. She is at her best depicting the interplay of light and colour found in the countries and islands of the Mediterranean and the tropics.

Ilana finds that watercolour allows her the sublety required for her images and for working with the silkscreen prints produced for her Limited Edition runs. Her works engender a feeling of tranquility and are extremely popular internationally.
