David Dancey-Wood was born in Bristol, England and majored in Natural History Illustration at the Bournemouth and Poole Faculty of Art and Design. His work has featured in two exhibitions at London’s Mall Galleries and at various zoological institutions in the UK. In 1995 he was appointed Official Illustrator to the Jersey Wildlife Preservation Trust and has undertaken work for a number if international clients, including The Disney Corporation and The Eastern and Orient Express.

An active conservationist, his artistic talent and genuine interest in wildlife are reflected in the fine detail of his work, especially of his pencil drawings.
